statement

......we do not walk where we are, but where we think we are.

For some time I use the working title "Where the feet are ..... where the head is."

The place where you are in your mind is often a different location from where you are physically.

The working title gives me the oppertunity to explore various aspects of positioning in space and time in both physical and mental sense and display it in series or a project or in one single image.

In my art work I focus on floor images. By making 2D sketches and collages, video and artist'-booklets, I try to get grip on the elusive world around us. The world in which we are and where we think we are at the same time.

statement - NL

Fysiek of mentaal.
